The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family–a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before–keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

“I am so lucky to be spending my final show at MoCo with this amazing cast and creative team.” Says Hannah Driscoll-Carignan, a MoCo senior who is playing Morticia Addams in the show. “Throughout the entire year, I’ve really felt that the whole theater department has bonded and truly become a family. That bond makes performing this show all the more special. Although the show is about a dysfunctional family, the family putting it on, is anything but that.”

I am so excited to share this show, and its talented and hardworking cast, with the world! The show will boast an impressive set design, stunning costumes, and lighting that will transport audiences straight into the Addams’ spooky mansion. This is a hilarious and heartwarming story about the importance of family and acceptance. MoCo’s high school cast has worked tirelessly to bring these beloved characters to life. Don’t miss your chance to experience the frightfully fun world of The Addams Family.
MoCo Arts’ award-winning theatre program, for kids and teens in grades 2 through 12, offers classes in musical theatre, straight plays, improvisation workshops and more. Each Musical Theatre class rehearses once a week, working together to perform in a fully produced musical. All students are cast in a role and are encouraged (but not required) to practice and audition for specific roles. Students then work together with the director’s learning elements of acting, singing, and dancing to put on the production. Tuition assistance is available for all classes and camps at MoCo Arts.
